Very sturdy, good build quality, collapses nicely.
I used this to record my point of view at a sports event while I was taking photos, the build quality is excellent and this mount is much more sturdy than some of the off brand cheaper ones I have tried.The best part about this one is how nicely it collapses down even while on the camera body, if you are not using it, you can fold it down toward the lens and proceed as if it wasn’t there.

I’m extremely excited about this holder. I don’t know how many plastic holders I had where the plastic finally gave and the spring popped or something else just brokeI have the larger Samsung Galaxy Series phone and it’s kind of tight to use it in this one but I feel a bit better that I know it won’t drop my phoneI needed this for graduation ceremonies I had to attend. I used it in conjunction with another selfie stick/tripodThe one I liked the most would not let me use a random hotshoe on it, however I found that the Kaiess collapsible tripod did allow a foreign hotshoe to lock.I’ll tell you what, we have actually used that tripod more because of how good this phone holder was. I kinda wish Smallrig actually made a light, collapsible selfie/tripod to go with this.Lugging around the heavy duty one is just a pain. This definitely would be a homerun if it was paired together.One big issue is with the holding piece itself. It works flawlessly if you don’t have a case but certain military grade protective cases are just a tad over the limit.If there was a good way to secure the phone with and without a case this would get 5 stars. As of right now I’ll say 4 until it proves me wrong (longevity wise)

High quality construction
Great piece of kit. I use mine on a tripod to watch videos on, as well as taking videos and photographs. All of the plastic holders I’ve had have broken at some point, but this one is of much higher quality construction.I need to replace my old tripod next, and will be checking out the selection that SmallRig offers, as this has met my expectations wonderfully.
