Amazing quality, so convenient, easiest peace-of-mind!
I never thought I needed an over-the-crib baby camera, but this has been a game changer! It’s SO convenient to have access through the app on my phone rather than keeping a monitor with me like my other one, so I can check on her if I’m not home or if I end up in my toddler’s room in the middle of the night and forget to grab the other monitor! I haven’t needed to do this much, but it’s nice that you can keep the sound on your phone even when you close the app or even lock your phone all together so you can always be listening for them without draining your battery. Also, the info/stats that are tracked and shown on the screen are so useful and bring me peace of mind! The constantly updated breathing rate so I don’t need to go in and check like when she was sick, and highlighting where there is any movement so I can see if she might be waking up. And the camera’s detection is REALLY amazing. For sure one of my other top favorite things is that I will actually get alerts when she has fallen asleep or is waking up (the last camera I had didn’t really send any or was super inconsistent), there have been so many times where it’ll be several minutes after I lay her down and I wonder if she stayed asleep or woke up quietly and right in that moment I get an alert saying “time for some zzzz’s! Looks like Maeve fell asleep” (also just the wording is cute). Last, the actual, physical camera itself is such nice quality and looks so modern/nice! The ONE small issue I’ve had maybe 2 or 3 times is that I’ll go open the app and it says the camera has lost its connection, but it usually resolves itself in a little while without me even doing anything, and again, not often/common at ALL.Overall SO satisfied and happy to have this camera helping me watch over my baby!

Good camera, but for some features you need to buy a subscription.
This Baby Eye smart monitor comes with everything you need to set it up. It is fairly easy to set up, but I felt like some things were missing from the instructions. Luckily, my husband is great with electronics. It comes with a stand and an attachment that can be used on the crib without using the stand. The camera has a clear picture, and the sound comes through perfectly. I love that it has two-way sound so you can sooth baby back to sleep with a song. There is an app for your phone, but some of the features don’t work unless you pay for a subscription. Overall, I am very pleased with this monitor, and I do recommend it.

Does the job if you are comfortable correcting their mistakes
When I assembled our stand and proceeded to plug in the camera, the wrong end of the USB cord was at the camera end. The cord has a USB-C connection for the camera and a USB-A connection for the wall charger. The unit ships with the cord already threaded through each of the pole sections I believe there are four), and there are metal inserts at each end which are specific to the camera and the floor stand, so it wasn’t a user error in assembly. I thought I was going to need to remove and re-thread the long USB cable through each section until I found another way, and discovered their error in assembly at the factory. On both the top and bottom pole sections are threaded inserts which can be removed. I was able to swap each end so the pole was effectively reversed. First problem solved.We’re also using this for a portable crib, which has the baby sitting lower than a traditional crib. There’s no real height adjustment with this setup except for the flexible gooseneck piece at the camera end. In order to get the camera set at the required distance from the mattress, I had to take out one section from the pole. But you need to remove a middle section since there’s a hole in the most upper piece for the USB cable to exit. This involved removing the threaded insert for the gooseneck attachment (again), pulling the USB cable back through a couple sections of the pole, re-threading the cable back through the upper most pole section, moving the metal insert, removing the silicone grommet in the side hole so the cable could move freely, fishing the USB cable out through the side hole, and reinserting the silicone grommet, etc.In the end, we got the necessary height but will need to redo all that if the camera is ever used in a standard crib. The clips that keep the length of cord attached to the outside of the gooseneck are pretty tight and distort the silicone on the outside.The image quality is so-so in lower light. The photo included was at naptime during the day. Lights are off and blinds closed, but the blinds are white and the room is painted in a light color.We opted not to try the 7-day trial of the extra features knowing we wouldn’t be paying their monthly fees to continue using them.It seems this camera would be much more versatile and user friendly if they simple included a telescoping height-adjustable stand. This would make the end product look a little less “finished” when assembled, but the height adjustment would be much better, and the whole setup would then be more compact for travel and storage. Also, they could include a small flexible tripod-like stand that could wrap around the upper rail of a standard crib. The camera has a standard 1/4″ connection when you unthread it from the gooseneck, so it’s easy enough to add one yourself.
