I have fond memories of playing and experimenting with an electronics project kit as a kid. Out of the blue, my youngest son (7yrs) asked me about electronic circuits and these project kits. So after researching products here and elsewhere online, I decided to surprise him with this Snap Circuits project kit on his birthday.QUALITY and CONSTRUCTION:The kit consists of a number of electronic components embedded in âSnap Circuitâ modules. Even though most of the connectors are solid bridges used to make connections between components, there are a few wire connectors. All the connectors and modules connect via a male/female snap.The base project board is made of plastic and is used to align the components when constructing the circuits.FUNCTIONALITY and IMPRESSIONSThe project manual is an excellent work book for learning about electronic components and circuits. My son loves to run through each project. I also love to work with him on these projects and feel that they explain the properties and functionality of each component and project at a level that he can understand.The Projects are interesting and build upon the previous to allow you child to understand basic concepts and to use them as âtoolsâ to eventually create their own circuits bases on what they have learned.PROS:Quality componentsâSnapâ method of connecting circuits is durable and forgiving with young children.Very detailed, yet easy to follow project book where each projects builds upon the previous.CONS:My son now wants me to buy him all the Snap Circuits Kits available.

Great product
This is our third Snap Circuits set, and my child is already hooked! Itâs a major upgrade from the original version, featuring a wide array of new electric components and parts. Heâs already completed several projects, and my personal favorites include the glowing night light display and the electric fan with color-coded LED text. The variety of fun sounds it offers adds an extra layer of excitement. Overall, I highly recommend this product, especially as a great way to keep kids engaged and away from screens.

I bought this for my Grandson’s 9th birthday. His father said it is awesome, he loves it, and is learning from it as well!! He does play with it everyday. I just ordered some other Snap Circuits products for Christmas for him and my great nephew.

These are PERFECT for our little smarty pants! He loves to put things together and take them apart and figure out how things work. This set NEVER gets old. We started with just a regular snap circuit set and have added this to the mix and the possibilities are endless. Easy to follow instructions make this hours of fun!

Most used Christmas gift.
Bought this for my grandchildren 8-11. They spent hours every day on projects for the first 2 weeks after Christmas, created every project and still playing with it, but not as much.Everything worked nothing broken, Still way too expensive for grandparents to buy for grandchildren.I hope that they can take what they learned from the kit into their future. Either way, they did enjoy it and gave mom and dad a break during very cold weather keeping them busy, and even keeping parents interested.

Excellent for fun and education
The Snap Circuits must be some of the best toys made for any aspiring electricians or electrical engineers. This was a second set for an 8 yr old and he has thoroughly enjoyed the projects and made a few of his own. Motor, generator, solar panel, lights, noise makers, etc. – lots of fun.

My grandson loved it
My grandson is quite gifted but has a short attention span. Once we assembled two of the circuits together he got the idea and assembled 27 by himself the next day. The assemblies are a little confusing at first but once we worked the first few out he was able to assemble the rest by himself. He received a similar product a day or two earlier and had no interest in that one but our working together made these much easier for him to understand and once he did he had a great time developing circuits.

This is perfect for 5-7 years old curious kids. It keeps them investigating and they get to see immediately if their hypothesis is true or need some improvement. Love it.in my case delivery was late (a week or so) and contacting the customer service was not effective thus 4 stars and not 5.

This is our second snap circuit set. I bought it as a surprise for the children as mcc to my surprise they worked very swiftly through the first, much bigger set.They got very excited by this set as it includes far more intricate elements and electric functionalities. The children, aged 6 and 9, couldnât wait and have already progressed much with this set.Iâm even more surprised by the enthusiasm the youngest one displays. They like to work through the Snap Circuit booklet together. But he typically canât wait for his older sister to join/help and just starts and completes most these projects himself – there might be some genetic stuff at work here as there are family members that are highly skilled with electronics. It just amazes me because as Iâm an electronic ignoramus, I can barely replace batteries or change a light bulb.These sets are simply marvellous in my view and give children a very good understanding of electronics. Each set offers an enormous range of possibilities and the broader Snap-circuit line makes them versatile and modular. The set comes very well presented in a box that is great for overly storage. And the whole makes a perfect educational gift.The set comes with a range of colourful elements that exhibit different functions. The box includes clear, straightforward coloured instructions. Younger children from the age of 5 should be able to complete the easiest tasks. So far the durability and quality of these sets his very good. Havenât encountered any broken electronics parts.Itâs great that this sets manages to engage children for several hours with a challenging, highly educational activity and of the iPad or Playstation for a while.Our purchase is very timely as well as it turns our youngest just learned about some basic electronics at school.This set will let them experiment for years.As such these sets are very good value for money.
