Can’t Recommend Enough!!!
An EMT recommended this monitor to us and I wish I had it for our first baby! We used it since day one with our second and it saves such piece of mind! We’ve been using it for 5 months now without any glitches or issues. The beep is loud enough we could hear if from the room next door. The green flashing light is a bonus too, that way if you think you forgot to turn it on, it’s a quick check to know if it’s on. It saved us so much sleep and worrying. And it’s so much more economical than most of the stats monitors out there. Easy to attach onto the diaper. I thought it would be uncomfortable for them, so I was hesitant at first, but it never seemed to bother them at all. Can’t recommend enough!!

Excellent with caveats plus six month update
First I want to say this is an amazing excellent product that does exactly what it says. It is super sensitive, picks up every breath accurately, and gives great peace of mind. There are a few things to know.Volume level. It is loud enough that we can hear it across the hall with both doors open. Easily heard through a baby monitor.Wearability. Most newborns are going to be swaddled and be in sleep and play outfits. By design you have to clip this to a diaper or pant waist then you will still want to put a swaddle over it. If you have two layers with a sleep and play and swaddle chances are you won’t see the green light. I like the green light bc it shows me at quick glance my baby is still breathing in the dark night. I find that it’s best to put the sleep and play on then rest the sensor on the belly then put the swaddle on. Doing so you can still see the light blinking. It comes with a risk bc the monitor may move if your baby wiggles a lot and false alert if it no longer makes good contact with the belly. To solve this I honestly wish the maker of this product would have like a little elastic waist band that you could put around the sleep and play before putting on the swaddle.Overall I would buy it again bc I think it’s one of the better products on the market.six month update…I would buy this 10 times over. it is super easy to use and super accurate. you can clip it onto a diaper and then put on clothes and then a sleep sack and turn on the audible beep so you can hear the ticking instead of seeing the green light which is awesome because I can hear it through the baby monitor and I know that he’s still breathing.

Great product for the price and quality
100% recommend this product. It does exactly what it is designed to do. I have heard it alarm/vibrate to remind my baby to breathe after she held her breath for too long. Only once has it alarmed after she continued to hold her breath for longer. The alarm is LOUD. You will hear it over a fan/noise machine/etc, and it will not turn off until you manually do it. The clip works fine on both disposable and cloth diapers. Snuza provides me peace of mind when she sleeps and is easy to use.

Just get it
My pediatrician advised against the Owlet. They said the information isnât always accurate and instead of it giving you peace of mind you end up obsessing over it causing more stress in the long run. This product is simple yet effective – your baby is either breathing or theyâre not. Green light is good and you can see it but it isnât too bright to bother anyone. Red light gives a little buzz to get breathing going again and after some more time the alarm goes off. The alarm isnât very loud and has never woken my baby but it wakes me as I anticipate my babies needs, clearly. Alarm goes off because it fell off the diaper hem but Iâd rather be safe than sorry. This simple yet effective tool helped me sleep easier as I adjusted to first time mom life. It was a major help to calming my PPA. Also, the batteries last a ridiculously long time. Get it!

amazing BUTâ¦
Overall, this product is amazing and I will be using/buying another for my next baby. I am 5months PP and this has helped my anxiety tremendously, especially centered around SIDS. There is a small green light that flashes with every breath movement, and you can even set it where there is a âtickâ noise with every breath as well. Itâs small and easy to clip on to diaper. Easy to travel with. Love using this in the car when I am by myself because I worry about him breathing while asleep in the car seat. The comfort I feel when I wake up in a panic over him breathing and I look in the pitch black and can see the green light flashing. It immediately brings me back down . It gives me such peace of mind. Not going to lie it took a couple of weeks for my anxiety brain to really comprehend that if it canât sense him breathing the alarm WILL go off. But once my brain finally got it I could actually sleep some during the night. BUTTTTâ¦.It has room for improvement. The alarm is not loud enough. If your baby sleeps right next to you in a bassinet then you will be fine. But you will not hear the alarm on a monitor if your baby sleeps in another room. When my baby turned 3 months I moved him into his crib and onto another wall in MY room. With our fan going, and the sound machine on, and under two layers of clothing (sleeper and swaddle) I could not hear it. I did a test run. So I moved the crib right next to my bed. Also you may or may not be able to see the flashing green light depending on the thickness of your swaddle/sack. I started to notice that as my son moved out of NB size swaddles but by that time I was comfortable enough with the device that seeing the light or not wasnât a deal breaker for me. I never had any false alarms until now. My son is currently 5 months and going on 2 weeks and he LOVES to roll and sleep on his stomach. This causes him to scrunch up and with the positioning of the way he sleeps the sensor is not touching his stomach. It has gone off 3 times on me just tonight. I am trying a new method of clipping the snuza on the back of his diaper since he sleeps on his stomach and so far so good. But if I start having trouble again I will be in the market for something new. I love the snuza because it doesnât hook up to WiFi. I have read so many reviews about the owlet un syncing and going off and we donât have the best service and WiFi where I live so this was the best and most affordable option. Overall if youâre questioning it I would say go for it. It helped me survive the â4th trimesterâ truly. It also has a 12 month warranty. Iâm in the market for a battery and that is seeming to be a bit of a problem finding the correct one. The battery light indicator hasnât shown me itâs getting low yet but I want to be prepared for when it does. If I can get around this sleep position problem we will be gold.

As a first responder police officer, my husband has been to calls regarding babies and SIDS. We used this device every night until our baby started to roll at 4 months. I cannot recommend this product enough. Worth every penny. This item could have been double the price and I would have still purchased. Itâs reliable, and is the only thing that allowed us to sleep without worry. Super easy to use!! Only critique is: the alarm sound should be louder. Before transitioning our baby to her own room, we tested out the clip alarm and we could not hear it from our bedroom. Even on the monitor, it wasnât loud enough. We then transitioned to the Owlet Dream Sock.

The most expensive alternative on the market and you need to figure out how to buy the battery.
Silenceisbliss –
If you’re considering this, buy it.It’s not the cheapest, granted – but a bargain for the peace of mind it gives you.Compared to the pressure plates and the AI camera (which I found to be woefully unreliable) – this Snuza does one thing, and it does it very well.hands down the best money I’ve ever spent on any item. i’d give it 6 stars if I could.

This small device has brought me SO much peace of mind itâs ridiculous. And it actually works really well. I have tested it off my baby and sure enough, it beeps and vibrates within 15 seconds when itâs not sensing breathing, then another 15 or so after that, goes off and makes a ton of noise and vibration. As a first time mom, this has been an absolute godsend. I would shout it from the rooftops and recommend it to anyone and everyone. There is another one called the Snuza MD that I also have that is an actual medical grade approved device.

After our preemie spent the first months of his life at the NICU, we were worried about a lot of things when he was discharged but with the snuza hero, we had peace of mind! It just made the transition home easier for all of us.
