FAQs
Q: What type of bottle can be screwed onto the filter?
A: Yuclet water filter fits most standard 28mm or 30mm threaded water/soda bottles. For bottles with shallow threads, the bottle neck ring may need to be removed. (Note: We cannot ensure universal compatibility as water bottle sizes vary in the market.)
Q: Why can’t the filter straw suck water through?
A: Please check if the filter’s silicone dust plug has been removed.
Q: Can it be used to filter saline water?
A: No, the filter can be used to filter fresh water rather than saline water.
Q: How do I know when it’s time to change the filter?
A: If you experience low or no flow rate, consider replacing the filter. Water flow will cease when the filter reaches the end of its lifespan. If you start to experience bad taste, it’s also time to replace the filter.
Q: Does the filter remove TDS?
A: TDS stands for total dissolved solids, and represents the total concentration of dissolved substances in water. Some of these dissolved solids are contaminants, and Yuclet water filter does remove some of them, but many are actually good for you, such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. For example, bottled water can have a high TDS reading due to higher levels of mineral content. Yuclet water filter is designed to remove contaminantsand particles from water, but it doesn’t directly affect the TDS level. For reducing TDS levels, you would need a different type of filtration system, such as a reverse osmosis filter or a distillation process.

Canât Beat the Value for Staying Safe When Water Purity is Doubtful
Iâve ordered the Yuclet Water straw in the past; we us them when traveling. Mexico is a convenient travel destination for us; itâs a beautiful country, but one whose local water is often of doubtful purity. The same Water Filter Straw weâve been using, now including four 20oz water pouches, just makes them all the more convenient, allowing us to prefill them, thus keeping a water supply on hand to be filtered if/when needed. We also keep the filter straws on hand in case of an environmental emergency, and for hiking, another activity we enjoy.The sellerâs transparency and assertions, based on the SGS report to which they provide a link, that I followed, gives me confidence that it will perform as stated. Moreover, the video that the seller provides on the Amazon point-of-purchase page also offers an insight into what to expect of the Water Strawâs performance. Moreover, our experience with the straws has so far kept us safe from contaminants.Filters capable of removing 0.1-micron sized particles fall into the category of âUltrafiltration,â and will remove viruses and bacteria, along with milk proteins and endotoxin pyrogens. What it wonât remove are metal ions, lactose and synthetic dyes. Generally speaking, the Yuclet Water Straw wonât be particularly helpful when filtering water contaminated with toxic factory waste. But hardly anything will.The Yuclet Water Straw is very lightweight and, due to its cylindrical form, makes it a convenient fit almost anywhere. Furthermore, itâs provided with a quality, detachable lanyard that can be wrapped around the wrist, a belt or backpack loop. Itâs constructed of what impresses as a hard, impact resistant plastic; itâs solidly built to endure the rigors of travel and outdoor activities.Besides using the straw to filter water from or into one of the included pouches, the Water Filter can be used directly as a Straw, that is, by placing it in a water source and sucking water directly into the mouth. In addition, at least according to Yuclet, a âstandardâ water bottle can be filled with unfiltered water, then threaded onto the Water Strawâs built-in adapter. In this case, the water bottle is turned up, letting the water flow through the straw by virtue of gravity, either directly into the mouth or a clean container. That said, I have yet to find a âstandardâ bottle, at least amongst those that find their way into our use, that will fit the straw. When I do, Iâll hang onto them to make a permanent part of our kit.For the low cost, convenience, safety and peace of mind provided by the Yuclet Water Filter Straw, along with Yucletâs transparency regarding its performance, I consider it an unparalleled value. Add to that the convenience of four pouches allowing for a combined total of 80 oz of water to be kept on hand, and it could be a life saver. In addition, the straws have an unlimited shelf life. And for the cost, Iâd suggest buying a second straw to go with the kit.

This is Very nice and easy to use ! The Bags are really heavy duty and should last for years . I really like that you can squeeze the water thru and very quickly fill a 20oz water bottle . I plan on buying a few more to stash away for emergency.

Yuclet Camping Water Filtration System (Straw+4 Bags)
This is a great kit to keep around for camping or emergency use. The price and quality of these donât match up. These are usually much more expensive so this is a pretty good deal with four pouches and the larger sized filter straw. Yuclet is also a known brand so I am more likely to trust the water coming out of this than a cheap unknown brand. The 20 oz (600ml) bags are durable and the filter straw works well. They are designed to work together and there is an adapter connection for larger bottles as well. I have nothing bad to say about this filtration kit and can definitely recommend it to others.

Seems easy enough and packed well enough to just be placed in a pack
I haven’t tested these out, so they will be getting the benefit of the doubt that they do what they are supposed to do. I picked these up to put in my survival kit. Never know when we won’t have clean water. (Sad it’s 2025 and this is a thing). Packaged well enough for me to feel safe with just putting them into my pack as they were received. Recommend stocking up on a couple of these items. Especially if you do much hiking/camping. Be prepared

These seem sturdy enough and should hold up to occasional use. The price is pretty reasonable for ~$21. It’s great how this can pack up pretty small. Definitely beats lugging a ton of water on your back.
