They stink to high heaven. The dog loves them.
Nutritious, perfectly sized for our small pup (12 pounds) and apparently delicious (according to her; I haven’t tried them). They smell STRONGLY of fish: I once left a bag slightly open by accident and came home and the apartment absolutely reeked of fish. This is a good thing! Great, natural, raw ingredients — just not my favorite to carry in a coat pocket, unless you want your gloves to smell like a Seafood Counter. I love the consistency: they’re strong and hold their shape well, but can be easily crumbled over food as a topping.Bonus: I recently carried a bag with me on my walk by the lake, where I often toss nuts to the crows, who are pretty picky about treats. They have been unimpressed by other dog treats, but they are into the Stella & Chewy Salmon and Cod mixers.

Great kibble topper
My dog was losing interest in her kibble. I tried a variety of different things to add to the kibble to entice her to eat. It would work for a while, but she’d eventually lose interest again. After reading about raw food diets, I tried this as a topper to her kibble. I crumble a couple on top and add a tiny bit of warm water. She gobbles her kibble up now. It’s been months and she still is enjoying her food.

ITS a MUST to TRY !!
First I want to say OMG!!Now let me start from the beginning … I have a bichon fris that I ended up with by watching for a friend and 7 years later heâs still with me .. so since I first started watching him 7 years ago, he always would rub his nose against the floor like he was trying to bury his bowl of food , well eventually he would eat it . Well as the years have gone by he still does this nose thing and itâs gotten worse to where he does it for sooooooo long before he eats and itâs really annoying cause he pushes his food bowl across the kitchen floor with his nose and spills food sometimes and sometimes runs it into his water spilling water everywhere .. 7 YEARS .. heâs done this .. I have done many researches to wonder why he did it .. from teeth hurting to not liking his food to just a habit he formed nobody knew why he did it and nobody had a real answer…not even his vet.. all assumptions!Well let me tell you I have been researching dog food the last few days more then anything! my bichon is now 12 years old ( got him when he was about 5) Iâve been really concerned about him staying with me longer because I love him so much .. I know I should of done this long ago but this is my first dog .. idk about what u should feed your dog except âNo human foodâ. Feeding my dog .. just dog food was what I thought was safe and ok.Let me be one to tell u .. this is me learning as I go!After doing research on dog food Iâve learned that a lot of dog food is NOT good for our dogs.. and I decided to get him the good stuff and I came across this freeze dried dog food that is very close to DR Martyâs that I watched on a video .. but this stuff is a bit cheaper but pretty much the same thing so I gave it a shot . I recieved this product yesterday added a little water to it smooshed it with his new dog food I switched to ( some cold raw meats made for dogs thatâs all good stuff too ( watch Dr Martyâs video to teach u about dog food) STELLAS IS JUST AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER ! Dr Marty just has a video explaining about stuff idk if stellas does or not. Anyway so I mixed Stellas freeze dried with his dog food and at first he was a little bit weird to it and didnât touch it but after an hour he walked up to it and DIDNT RUB HIS NOSE ON THE FLOOR .. he just ate it and ate it and ate it .. bowl was bone clean! WTF?? My dog never left a bowl clean it was a very rare moment if he did .Next day which is today Iâve fed him twice doing the same thing and both times he ate today NO NOSE RUBBING ON THE FLOOR BEFORE EATING.. and BOWL IS BONE CLEAN!! Omg omg omg!STELLA .. itâs a miracle my dog loves his food he doesnât even do the nose thing .. this means it doesnât hurt his teeth this means he likes it .. this means it WASNT A HABIT HE FORMED! This means that This is the good stuff dr Marty was talking about !! ( I know because all the things dr Marty told me In his video to look for in dog food , Stellas had it .. and all the bad stuff to look out for Stellas didnât have it ! So I know itâs the good stuff!I never ever thought I would see this day , my dog is happy he is really happy and I see it!Iâm just a plain customer wanting to share my joy of happiness with anyone who wants to try STELLAS .. donât NOT give it a try .. just try a small bag to give it a whirl I promise u wonât regret it !! This is a great item My dog loves it. Too bad he will NOT be getting any tonight because, again, Amazon delivery was late.. I gave up dinner out with a friend so I would not miss the Amazon truck. AFTER 10:00 p.m. I hear the Amazon truck – then watch it drive right past my house & stops 5 houses away. Driver never got out of the truck/vanUpdate:: the Amazon truck did come around my house again and it stopped. It wasnât until almost 24 hours later though. My dog still loves this food. I love feeding it to him as a topper or as a treat. I wish the delivery people would understand that the customers work also and depend on delivery as promised. I had to cook for my fur baby the night they drove right past my house and after cooking for the family I was quite upset. The product is an awesome product, a little pricey for me but well worth the cost for the nutrition that the fur baby gets.

These saved my dog’s life, and no I’m not exaggerating. My dog has a complicated past and came to me starved almost to the point of death, and at times these were the only thing we could get him to eat. Without them I’m not sure he would have made it. Several years later now he eats a well rounded variety of foods, but the Stella & Chewy’s meal mixers are still his most favorite topper and treat. We’ll never stop buying these.

Expensive, but my pooch is small and I cut only a couple up as toppers for two daily meals so not terrible. She picks the toppers off and eats the rest later so guess that says it all.
