The #1 Most Important Tip is to keep calm. Your cat will pick up on any stress or anxiety you may have and react accordingly (not good).
Wipe paws off if needed.
Tin – Scoop a bit out with finger or spoon.
Warm Paw Butter in palm for faster absorption.

Tips for Distracting Your Cat For Easier Paw Butter Usage
Paw Butter will not harm your cat if they lick some off, but you want it to get the job done. Distract your cat for a few minutes after application to ensure it absorbs.
Give treats before, during and after application, if needed.
Feed their dinner after application.
Give them a coveted toy.
Have a new toy you think will delight them to use after application or the bag it came in.
Application Tips For Uncooperative, Stubborn Cats (Not Your Sweet Kitty, Of Course)
Some cats don’t like being held tightly or controlled (same here). Consider wrapping them in a towel for everyone’s safety.

works well, but not for extremely severe dryness
I got this for my cat with really bad paw problems – I’m talking the kind where she frequently licks them so much that they bleed. My vet had recommended rubbing olive oil on them, which didn’t work because she’d immediately lick it off and also tracked it all over the floor. Obviously I’m not expecting this to magically heal over her scabs or anything, but I was hoping it would at least help the dry-but-not-scabby parts of her feet. And it does! It’s definitely more hydrated, but not to the point where it looks like normal, healthy skin – it’s still got those “cracks” from when they were untreated even after using it for a little over a month. I’m going to keep using it until it’s gone, and if that changes I’ll update my review. Some big positives – she doesn’t lick this off nearly as much as she did with the straight olive oil. She didn’t STOP licking it by any means, but it’s about the same amount as she did when it was untreated, and she won’t IMMEDIATELY try to lick it off. Additionally, it tracks very little around the house. Obviously a bit of it does still transfer to the floor, but it’s a very small amount that I can take care of with my regular floor cleanings instead of having to immediately wipe it up. If your cat only has moderately dry paws I would definitely, definitely recommend it, but if your cat’s like mine with severely dry paws from a compulsive licking problem, skip straight to the vet visit and ask if they have anything that’s actually medicated – don’t let olive oil be the only potential solution they offer you, since unless your cat’s a complete slug (I say this affectionately) who won’t move around at all during or after application, it’ll come off way too fast to actually do anything. Or at least if you do use olive oil, I would suggest getting little booties to let it sink in without interference. If you can get your cat’s paws to heal with something stronger than this, I think this would be a really great “maintenance” product to prevent them from getting that dry again. Overall, would recommend in most circumstances.

Amazing product
My cat has “horns” growing out of the pads of his paws. They grow rapidly and prevent him from sheathing his claws, so out of desperation I bought a few different balms to try.
This one has been incredible. They have softened up the horns to the point that several are almost gone, and the others are much softer.
I’ve also been using it on his dry allergy spots on his nose and neck.
This has been a wonderful product. Highly recommend.
(And yes, the cat has been seen many, many times by the vet. With no conclusive diagnosis, despite many, many tests)

This works! My cat has herpes paw plasma pododermatitis and the vet said this is a great tool to keep her feet from chapping so easily! It keeps her little toes moisturized. she doesn’t lick it off and runs around find. It doesn’t smell.

Effective Moisturizer for My Cat’s Paws
I bought The Blissful Cat Paw Butter for my cat, Squeaks, because his paws were cracking and seemed uncomfortable. At first, they were really rough and dry with deep cracks. After several applications over a few weeks, I’ve noticed significant improvements. Squeaks no longer has deep cracks in his paws, and they are much softer now! There are still some light cracks, but I imagine the condition of his paws will continue to improve over time as I use this product.
One thing to note is that this product requires consistent use to see the best results. I applied it to Squeaks’ paws a couple of times a day since I bought it three weeks ago. It’s not an instant fix, but with patience, it definitely works wonders. Also, applying it can be a bit challenging if your cat is feisty, so be prepared for a bit of a struggle if your kitty isn’t a fan of having their paws touched!
I think the flavor may be unpleasant, as Squeaks had a negative reaction when he licked his paws after application. I haven’t confirmed it myself… just something to note.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with this product. It’s made a big difference for Squeaks, and I’m happy to see his paws looking healthy again. He seems less bothered by them as well. Highly recommended for any pet owner dealing with similar issues! I’ll definitely purchase it again in the future.

Can’t beat this moisturizering balm
I bought this moisturizer to help with my kittens paws to help avoid any painful cracks in his paw pads. I was worried it would be greasy and difficult to apply but the chap stick like design makes it easy to cover their entire paw in seconds. It glides on with little effort and it somewhat of a waxy texture that leaves a slight residue on the skin that quickly absorbs. I usually try to apply it when my kitten is calm so the balm has time to absorb and his paw pads have never been softer as a result. It has a pleasant mild fragrance and performs as advertised. I generally use it every other week or so as maintenance to ensure healthy skin so it’s lasted a long time and if definitely worth the price.
