It covers a great deal of knowledge, remedies, and resources including the basic information and diving deeper into specific ways to use this information. The author goes into impressive details, and I found it all super helpful! I specifically liked learning about the different ways to use these remedies for various health and wellness issues. Instead of focusing on the health aspects and benefits, there is also info on the mental and emotional benefits as well. The chapters in this book include treatments, safe practices and precautions, the history of herbal medicine, growing your own herbs, and even influential herbalists and their wisdom. There is also extra content that comes along with the book that includes video lessons from Barbara OâNeill, one of the herbalists mentioned in the chapter on othersâ philosophies.I have been struggling with a few different mental and physical health issues and reading this book gave me inspiration to keep working on bettering myself! I love the natural aspect of these practices and if anyone is wanting to learn more, this is the perfect book to do just that! Ever since being a mom, I’ve navigated more toward herbal and holistic methods when it comes to caring for ailments. I appreciated this book because it really lists all the positive effects of herbs, from your well-known herbs like ginseng and mint to their properties and mechanisms of action and application. Throughout the book, the author also added extra content where you can scan a QR code and unlock different topics. The book also touches upon things like blood sugar regulation or cardiovascular health and recipes for some of the herbs or even a tincture for daily heart support. There really isn’t a topic that the book doesn’t address, such as your health and ways to maintain your health naturally. Really appreciative of how Hollis was really in-depth with details.There were so many herbs that I wished I knew about that could help address a vast array of health-related issues. A perfect example was St. John’s Wort. I never heard of this herb before, but it has antidepressant properties! If you’re truly thinking about natural remedies, this book is a must get!One thing I do wish is for there to be photos of the herbs. That would have been so helpful
