Missed opportunity
This shoe is an upgrade from the MT-4 (my favorite TOPO shoe so far). Overall the only upgrade for me is in the increased cushion. The top breathable part of the shoe is uncomfortable and hits the top of your foot. The material pokes into my feet with every step. Considering wearing bandaids to stop the irritation. They are wide enough, so that not the issue, itâs just the material isnât very flexible. Iâve worn them outside twice, so I canât return them. Pretty bummed about that. The sizing is consistent within their brand. Iâm a 9.5 wide and I wear a 9.5 regular in TOPOs. Consider trying two sizes depending on use (thick or thin sock: hiking or running etc).Pros: – increased cushion/impact support – doesnât slide off heel like other models – traction is great! – womenâs color option that isnât obnoxious (huge win)Cons: – material is rigid and pokes you at weird spots where the shoe bends at the tops of your toes – you can feel the seam where the outside wall and the sole of the shoe are connected. There is a small gap between insole and wall of the shoe on the inner right sides. Very uncomfortable! They should have just taken the MT-4 and added more cushion and increased traction and left everything else alone especially the mesh material which was its best feature.

shoes are falling apart after 6 weeks of wear
I wanted to like those shoes and they were great while they lasted. But after just a few weeks of wear, they are falling apart. I run 5km 3 times a week, a mix of trail and road.As you can see in the photos,-they developed holes on the top (which I never had happen to a pair of sneakers before)- the tread is almost gone- shoe falling apart in multiple other places

Changed design
Loved MT4They totally changed the design and it seems to be composed of cheaper material.I have horrible feet and was so bummed about the changes.

Not a good fit
Not a good fit minimal arch support. Topo Phantom far superior

Uncomfortable
I loved my Terraventure 4 shoes from Topo, but I hate these. Defective design has a stiff ridge at the base of the tongue that I feel with every step. Not what I expected from Topo or at this price point. Trying to return.

So far so good
I like the look, fit, and support these shoes have. I typically wear Altras, but needed a higher drop shoe. I like the wide toe box and 5mm drop. I opted to add lock laces instead of keeping the original laces, but the original laces looked like good quality. One thing I wish these shoes had was a less specific anchor for gaitors. I like the different designs that Dirty Girl Gators offer, but they arenât compatible with these shoes unless I were to glue Velcro on to them.
