Great fit, quality and color
I am so glad I found the Topo shoes. I love the wider toe box. No more cramped feet. The arch support is really good, and they’re cushioned very well. I reallyappreciateboth of those things. The grey is a true grey color. I have been recommending the Topo brand to everyone.

Close to perfect hiking shoe
I was looking for a lightweight, quick-drying (non-gtx) shoe that was not zero drop, but with a wide toe box and great traction. These fit the bill and have served me well on my adventures so far! The only feedback is that the heel box is a little shallow, sometimes my heels slip out if I am taking a big step. No hot spots so far, but this could become a problem on a long-distance hike. I am doing a 20-mi. backpacking trip in a few months, will have to update then. I also have some concerns about longevity of the materials, there are already some places the fabric has worn through after maybe 50 miles of hiking, but in places where most shoes struggle (see attached picture). This doesn’t effect the functionality but time will tell about the rest of the shoe.

Great hiking shoes
Fit as expected, fairly firm sole but molded well to my foot after a few wears. Good amount of support.

Not as wide as I had hoped. Size up.
Agree with some reviews. The wrap over the ball of your feet is a strange sensation to get used to. I’m generally a true size 7.5 for formal shoes and I generally purchase size 8 for athletic shoes and sneakers. These were quite a bit shorter than I had imagined. Feels like it’s just short of a typical 7.5 actually. I would highly recommend going up a half size from your normal athletic shoe size. Otherwise, really love the grip and cushion and support. Used these for camping and hiking. I would have loved a bit of a wider and longer fit to avoid crushing my toes on declines and to accommodate thicker socks occasionally. There’s no way you could get away with anything but a very thin wool sock at best with these shoes.

No break-in needed!
I wear the Topo Ultraventures for all my hikes and love them. It took me years to find the perfect hiking shoe for my foot and those were it. I began venturing into Pennsylvania for hikes where the trails are so rocky. I needed a more substantial shoe and saw Topo now makes these, with the rock plate I knew Iâd need. I didnât have time to test them out before a weekend of backpacking on the AT. Iâm so happy to say 25 miles later they were perfection. And Iâm prone to blisters and sore feet.

Great grip and toe box, just a little too stiff
These shoes are very non slip- perfect for hitting the trails. The toe box is great, too! These are absolutely great for those things. They were just a little too stiff for me to ever be able to use them for trail running. I have hiking shoes (not trail runners) with more give than these.

Comfortable and light
My normal shoe size is 6 but i purchased size 7 with thick socks it will be totally fine to go for a long hike.

Worked really well in water!
My husband found these shoes for our trip to Zion National Park in Utah. We were planning on traversing the Narrows. We also purchased neoprene socks so that our feet would not get too cold. These worked perfectly. The tread on the show was perfect for the slippery rocks. I wore them again on a dry hike the following day. Highly recommend.
