Easy Setup and Stable
I originally purchased another brand because they specifically advertised a sunrise/sunset programming function; when that one didn’t do what it was supposed to do I returned them and purchased the Tapo plugs. These work great and each plug can be set to turn on or turn off at sunrise and at sunset; both with offsets by the hour or minute. I now have one set to turn on plant lights 30 minutes after sunrise, and another set to turn on patio lights 45 minutes before sunset, for example. Both (that I’m using so far) were easy to set up in about 3 minutes each and the Tapo app is pretty much the same as every smart home app; it’s easy to organize devices and even easier to set up schedules or to manually control devices. I’ve had trouble in the past with smart plugs that couldn’t handle much amperage; these can handle a full 15 amps while most cannot. At about $5 each in a four pack, these were a great value for a trusted brand. So far, the wifi connectivity has been strong and stable with my devices both within 25 feet of the router; sometimes it is necessary to add a range extender near devices such as this due to their need to be on a wall near wiring that often interferes with wifi signals. I highly recommend this product.

Makes life so much easier
We donât have lights in our closet and I bought these sconce lights that plug in. I wanted the lights high up so I could see but then I couldnât turn them on and off because Iâm short. I already have an Alexa so I bought these smart plug-ins for the outlets in my closet. They were really easy to set up and pair with the Alexa. The price was really good and so far they seem to work really well.

I didnât want to use adhesive on my furniture. I added some rubber feet to a small steel square and the magnetic dimmer switch attaches to it easily. Now it stays put I wish that pushing the button worked every time. If you donât push hard enough, it feels like it should have accepted your press, but wonât turn the light on and off, but it is pretty responsive when you push it properly the dimmer feature is very nice and also responsive overall, I like it. It works well on its own, but I love that it is HomeKit compatible.

The Tapo/Tplink system makes great products. Very easy to install and small enough to fit another plug into the socket. Connected to wifi no problem, set up was fast. Easy to control via the app. I also bought a hub so that I have lights turn on and off when a certain door opens.

Exceeded Expectations
The other reviewers nailed it. So simple to set up. I googled “tapo plug setup” and followed the directions. It was even easier than expected. Only hang-up was that I didn’t realize the iPad i was using didn’t have Bluetooth turned on. After that it was so quick and easy. I actually could hardly wait to set up the others – the app was slick as you’d ever want. I love the sunset with offset feature. We’ve had several old school digital timers to turn on three lamps a little before sunset, but they always were a little erratic, and resetting them was a laborious project. With these, if I need to change the offset, it’ll be about a minute to do all three. I found myself wondering “Where else in the house could I use one of these?” And, as the item description said, no hub required.

Son muy faciles de programar con la app y el botón de apagado manual es muy práctico. Lo uso para programar el encendido y apagado de la fuente de mis gatos, en navidad para las luces y programar el apagado de la televisión. Llevo más de un año usandolos sin ningún problema. Excelente compra.

Es el segundo paquete de contactos que compro. Los puedo manejar vÃa remota, fuera de mi casa. La conexión vÃa wifi es sencilla. Este enchufe está conectado a un Hub de la misma marca y a un sensor de temperatura, este último cuando está por arriba de un cierto valor que configure le manda una señn para prender el enchufe inteligente que este a su vez enciende un ventilador.
