    Works well
My orthopedic recommended I acquire and use this nightly while sleeping, to treat a worsening trigger finger problem with the ring finger on my favored hand. The splint arrived quickly, was very easy to apply and more comfortable to wear than I feared, so using it has been super easy. Even better, to my delight and surprise, doing so for just a few days resulted in noticeable improvement. With continued use, the problem has changed from being a painful and moderately disabling impediment to normal functioning (especially the finger being ‘locked’ down whenever I closed my fingers or made a fist), back to being primarily just an uncomfortable and bothersome distraction, although the condition does still worsen over time, as each day goes on. I allowed things to worsen considerably by foolishly ignoring the problem for months (due mainly to fear of the pandemic and my being immune compromised), but a full recovery is possible, and I have a good feeling now about that happening. I’ve used the splint nightly for about 3 weeks, resulting in real improvement, particularly in reduced pain in the associated knuckle and ‘palm’ of my hand, as well as improved function, since the finger isn’t routinely locking down now. My orthopedic was initially unable to guess how long I’d need to continue using the splint, but based on results so far, I’m guessing splinting for weeks to come (or longer) still may be necessary, but I won’t mind too much: I don’t need surgery and using the splint at night is a no-brainer. Even with the splint on, it’s still FAR less debilitating than the problem when the condition was at its worst, so I am thankful the treatment has been so inexpensive, easy to continue, and is showing such promising results. All things considered, the splint is great. 🙂

Nice product – works as a buddy loop! 🙂
My use is for my index finger, where due to autoimmune disease (Lupus) combined with 2 knee surges, and crutches for about a year, the tendon displaced from the knuckle, and I am being lined up for surgery to move the tendon back to the knuckle. The ind3ex finger deflects down and cannot be raised upwards above a flat surface. I tried tape and other buddy loops but they’d not work well to pull the index finder up parallel with the middle finger. So I tried this product and I am glad I did. I initially thought that I would use it for the one (index) finger, but in putting it on, I came to realize that it would work as a buddy loop for the two fingers, blind luck (see pics). I’ve only used it as a buddy loop for one day but love it and it is helping with the pain and downward deflection of the finger. As the pic shows, my fingers/hand is not larger and the loop closest to the knuckle fits but it is a “barely” at a circumference of 5″ for the two fingers “buddied”.Again, very limited use thus far but so far it is comfortable. It does not slip off. The splint is supportive but not overly “stiff” so as to be uncomfortable. It can be bent to conform with the needs of your finger. The velcro secures well. The last 1/4 of the distal end of the brace does not have the aluminum brace which to me adds to the comfort.

Update: Replacement from vendor works great
OK, I am updating my review to reflect the fact that the vendor did respond to my message and was able to get me a replacement for the defective item that I originally got. This item is very good as long as the velcro strap on the splint is effective, so that is very important to test out, especially if you’re sleeping in it. I am upgrading my rating to 4-stars now, as the product is actually very comfortable to wear and easy to adjust. I went out and bought another splint, but that was even worse – not very comfortable to wear and it left red mark on my skin. This product is actually good if the straps work. With the functioning replacement that they sent me, I am now very satisfied. I will leave my original review below, for the sake of completeness.—————–Original review from November 2019Very poor product – the topmost Velcro strap does not hold at all after about 8 hours of use. Without that, the splint falls right off my finger. I ended up getting another product the next day. Wrote to seller via amazon but no response, so I will toss it in the trash and chalk it up to the hit-or-miss nature of these products on Amazon. If you’ve hurt your finger, don’t waste your time and money like I just did, please buy something better from someone who will respond to you.

    Ease of use and effectiveness
I bought two for my middle fingers. They are very easy to slide onto and remove from my fingers. The design is so good that I do not need to adjust the Velcro every time. They keep my fingers straight and not curled up during the day while I work on computer keyboard. I also wear them during the nights but mostly during the days. I found out that keeping them on the fingers for a few hours (say 2-3 hours) and remove them to give the fingers opportunity to bend and move around for a while. Then put them back on again. This will prevent your fingers from getting too stiff once you remove them.I love the design and materials used in this product. It is very effective in reducing the pain of my fingers. I have felt the gradual improvement of the symptom after only using them for a week or so. Great product and highly recommended!James

    Soft and Comfortable
This is not helping my trigger finger as much as I had hoped. I’ve been wearing it nightly for about 3 or 4 weeks.Pros:-It’s soft and comfortable to wear.-It fits any finger.Cons:-The hard plastic internal splint prevents the finger from curling/closing, but isn’t long enough to prevent bending the finger at the main knuckle.-The extension piece (where the GenetGo label is) is made of flexible fabric.-The fabric is soft against my skin but it’s slippery, so the splint tends to slide off my finger overnight.-The tip of the adjustable Velcro tab doesn’t stay down and catches on the finger beside it, so I used a piece of tape to hold it down.

I have trigger finger in my middle finger and this splint is easy to wear and seems to help keep my finger straight when I sleep at night. I suppose you could wear it during the day but I have needed it for daytime wear yet.
