This 4-pole extension cable carries mic as well as left and right audio signals. If your wired headphones/earbuds have volume control buttons or answer/end call buttons, this externsion cable will also carry those signals to your device too, even when using a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter. Female end too loose, does not allow my hyper x headset to be fully plugged in, only 1 ear cup had audio and no mic support whatsoever. Other extension cables I tried does not have this issue.
