Saved my little Coco
I don’t usually write reviews but I need to tell everyone this product has been a life saver for my little Yorkie. He just doesn’t like to eat he had not been eating for a few days no matter what I did I was so worried, didn’t have the money to spend hundreds at the vet in desperate I started searching Amazon for some thing that would open his appetite and I could get something in him. I read the reviews and ordered this product to be delivered asap which it arrived the same day at 9pm, my baby was weak and just didn’t want to do anything we were just waiting for this to come in we gave him the first does at 9:05pm, I kid you not by 10:30 pm he was a different dog he got up went outside to do his business and I offered him his favorite treat, which he would not take in days, he ate his treat and even had I small piece of chicken, so yes under.the weather saved my Coco. Thank you for making this product, can’t say enough about it. Thank you Thank you, thank you

Saved my dogs life
My poor Ponto was throwing up for a day and a half and because he is already a picky eater and lean, he was getting scary skinny fast. I bought two of these tubes and it turned him around within about 10 hours. For your elderly friend who is having a hard time, I would highly recommend this high calorie paste.

Good but a little pricey for the amount
This supplement is packed with calories and nutrients, making it ideal for dogs needing to gain weight or maintain a healthy calorie intake. Despite my dog’s reluctance to eat much, she eagerly devours her food when this supplement is mixed in. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in her energy levels and overall health since incorporating it into her diet. While the supplement is effective and has undoubtedly helped my dog, it is on the pricier side. However, considering the positive impact it has had on her well-being, I find it worth the investment. The quality and effectiveness outweigh the cost, especially when it comes to ensuring my dog gets the nutrition she needs. If you have a dog struggling with weight maintenance or a picky appetite, I highly recommend giving this high calorie supplement a try. It may be a bit pricey, but the results speak for themselves in terms of improved health and vitality.

So far so good…
Ordered in an emergency yesterday and I received it today. My 22 year old, black tabby presented with diarrhea and she totally quit eating 5 days ago – after a couple days of trying with her, I put her in a make-shift hospital environment on heat and force fed her pureed chicken and rice with egg and broth for water. In a desperate search I found this product here on Amazon and ordered it. She has a habit of turning up her nose if she decides she doesn’t again want what I’ve been feeding her. She’s super thin from this bout of not eating (down to about 5lbs) and possible pancreatitis so I gave her half the regular dose because she’s a small cat and only weighed about 7.5 to 8 lbs. when she was young and healthy. I was worried she would not eat it, but I put a half teaspoon full on my finger and she almost took my finger off once she got the flavor. It was very easy and straight forward to dispense the dark, thick, gel from the giant syringe dispenser. I squirted it into a measuring spoon first and then scooped it onto my finger from the spoon to avoid cross-contamination. It’s also shelf stable without refrigeration for 2 years even after its opened which makes it even more valuable to me because my other feline fur babies could use it too if needed. Here’s to a hopeful recovery for my Midnight girl. Thanks Under the Weather for making this. You may have saved my girl’s life today.

Upset my dog’s stomach, and leaked everywhere.
I can’t speak of the weight gaining properties of this stuff, but I do know it’s mostly sugar. From what I can tell it looks like some sort of molasses, probably enriched with vitamins.I personally didn’t think it had a lot of vitamin levels in it, but I also don’t know the dosage that animals need.My dog has always been a picky eater, and has been just above underweight for some time. Now that my mom (his previous owner) died, he’s gotten skinnier. The few things he will eat, he doesn’t eat enough. I figured I’d try this as a trial run to see if he’d gain any weight.I only got it yesterday so I don’t know yet if it will cause him to gain weight. He does not like the flavor! I’m not surprised considering how picky he is, but I also don’t blame him. It looks unappealing to me. The fat dog of the family (they eat separately btw) seems to want to try and I’m sure she’d love it. So I imagine a less picky pet would enjoy this? The servings of this stuff is pretty big for my Chihuahua, at one teaspoon. The instructions call for two teaspoons for dogs who don’t eat enough, but I wasn’t going to force my pup to eat that much.In order to get it in him I had to hold him firmly (but gently) and scoop it into his mouth. It might be easier if I had a smaller syringe to use but the tube it comes in is far too big to stick in a little dog’s mouth; it also dispenses too much at a time for a little dog unless they love the stuff. In addition, I’m not sure if it’s correlation or causation, but within an hour of eating the stuff for the first time my dog had diarrhea. He’s got a sensitive stomach, but I’m cautious about the product now. I gave him another dose today in the hopes of getting his stomach used to it, but I am worried it will continue to upset his stomach. He hasn’t eaten his regular dinner yet, so I hope this product isn’t doing more harm than good.As for the packaging. It’s a good concept, but it ended up being messy for me.I accidentally took the plunger from the tube, which seemed convenient at first since it allowed me to put product back into the tube as needed. Only when I put the plunger back in the product began oozing out of the top and wouldn’t stop! It made a big mess. I ended up squeezing the tube into a bowl and discarding the tube.I really wanted to like the product but I’m not sure I’ll buy it again unless my dog learns to love it, doesn’t get an upset stomach, and gains weight.
