Versatile Power Supply with a Useful Set of Connectors
I tested 1 and 2 amps at both 5 and 20v with good results. The ripple often is above 100mV, which is not great for a power supply, in general. If it were fifty bucks, I’d ding it a star. At this price, it’s reasonable. I did not attempt to stress test 24V 3A, and would recommend, with these budget items, to not run them past half their wattage rating for extended periods.The cord set is an impressive assortment, and could be worth it, alone, if it has a piece that you need. A 5.5×2.1 to USB-A female is the only piece I would add. There are USB-C and micro males, and C-female to A-female adapters are easy to get (and surprisingly useful).

Versatile Power Supply
I ordered this Universal Power Supply 3V~24V 3A 72W Adjustable Variable 3V 5V 9V 12V 18V 20V 24V to use specifically for an old shortwave radio that has rotted out battery terminals.I have an old radio that uses a 9v power supply with a negative center terminal. Like most folks, I have tons of power adapters laying around from long lost items, but none had the right combination of voltage and tip size. This adapter comes with a giant assortment of tips as well as a polarity reverser that can be used if you need a center negative connector or left off if you need a positive center connector.The output voltage is controlled by a dial. The dial also as a switch (much like an old fashioned volume control). Once switched on, the output voltage is set a 3 volts. Turning the knob causes the voltage to increase to the maximum 24 volts. I did notice that the control is very touchy, requiring very little movement to cause a significant change in voltage. The radio that I purchased this for works perfectly well with this power supply.I will probably use this power supply for other devices. One nice feature is that in addition to all of the different tips provided, there is also a connection consisting of alligator clips. That makes this a good candidate for powering DIY electronics during the testing phase. Keep in mind that the maximum current rating for this device is 3A.
