Excellent product! I have a Yorkie and a Silky Terrier. Sophia is the Yorkie with not-so-great teeth. They’re infamous for this trait. I’ve been brushing their teeth since they were pups. I use my fingers and/or a finger brush. This is the first time I’ve used this product. They seem to be fine with the taste; I don’t get any ‘fights’ when I’m brushing. Sophia has a bad underbite which makes her bottom teeth more susceptible to plaque and disease. Our vet is impressed with how healthy their teeth and gums are. The ingredients are excellent. Definitely recommend!

I purchased this when we started our dental journey over a year ago.My 5 year old puppy’s vet had commented multiple times on his dental disease and gingivitis. At this point we took him to the vet annually to have his teeth professionally cleaned but plaque always built up really fast again.Since dental health affects overall health I was quite concerned and started looking for solutions.Prior to his last dental cleaning I started a daily tooth brushing routine with this product. I initially used the toothbrush that came with this toothpaste but my dog hated it. I figured the brush might just be too hard and bought an ultra soft small kid’s toothbrush which was a total game changer. He tolerated the brushing very well from this point on.We only used this product for 2 weeks before going for the dental cleaning and the vet was amazed at the change! The enzymatic action of the toothpaste really did work.We have since been continued to brush his teeth daily and our dog looks forward to the routine. The taste of the gel seems to appeal to him and the tube lasts us quite a few weeks. With the subscribe and save discount of 15% the toothpaste becomes even more affordable.Attached is a current picture of his teeth and gums – they look beautiful and bad breath is now a thing of the past.

My dog hates having her teeth brushed but likes the taste of this toothpaste.
My 8 year old Yorkie had to have three teeth pulled and she has issues with build up on her teeth and awful breath. I was told to brush her teeth every day or every other day but she went nuts when I tried. I tried a few toothpastes and a couple of kinds of brushes and she just wasn’t having it. Her breath got really bad recently and I was determined to get her teeth cleaner and get her used to brushing. This toothpaste seemed good (except for the neem oil in it which scared me but my vet said it was safe in the amount in this toothpaste) and had good reviews so I gave it a shot. It wasn’t easy. But the toothpaste, which is a clear gel and minty smelling, seemed to be tasty even though my dog wasn’t loving a brush in her mouth.I have been brushing my dog’s teeth daily for as long as I can before she loses it and takes off. It has helped her breath so much! Her teeth are cleaner but she needs to stay still so I can get her back teeth cleaner. I think, in time, my dog will settle down and I will be able to keep her teeth clean and her breath fresh. This is the only toothpaste that she could stand and even seems to like so I am sticking with it for now. I will try other similar toothpastes with similar ingredients minus the neem oil though to see if my dog will like one as much because it does scare me a bit that it isn’t a super safe ingredient for dogs. I removed a star because of that. (Pic attached is Molly, my Yorkie, and my husband. He brushes his own teeth and never hides when he sees a toothbrush. lol.)

My dog hates to get his teeth brushed. I noticed that he tolerates this toothpaste better than the rest. It neutralizes his bad breath, I believe he likes the taste, it removes plaque from his teeth, and it has made brushing his teeth a better experience . I made a good choice in purchasing this product.

Proven it works with daily use
I used this for about 6 months for my dog to help with his breath and hopefully get rid of some plaque. Noticed significant results then. Once we had a good chunk of the plaque knocked off we tried to switch to some dental stick chews to help prevent plaque buildup. After about 2 months, plaque started to reappear. Immediately switched back to the brushing with this stuff, and you could see the plaque start to chip off after about 2 weeks. His gums would bleed so easily when we went back to brushing due to inflation, and now there is no blood and no inflammation. Just shows us what a difference it makes brushing his teeth. This paste slowly works at loosening any plaque and buildup, and eventually it comes off. Plus my dog loves the taste. HIGHLY recommend, and beats the heck out of any chews.

Iâve used another brand of enzymatic dog toothpaste and she loved it. With this, as soon as she sniffed it she turned away. Maybe the baking soda or neem oil smells objectionable to the dog? Will be going back to the CET brand.
