Glad I Chose This One
Roughly 3 yrs ago on a whim’s I bought a $99 Winnix air purifier at Costco. We used it in our den/living room. Family of 3 with a dog that sheds. I was blown away by how well the Winnix worked. The air smelled cleaner and the the amount of dust in the room was noticeably decreased. We recently moved to another house with a large den and high ceilings. Too much area for the current air purifier. So I purchased the 810 and it has been great. Well worth the money. Iâll keep my review short and only state proâs & cons.Pros-attractive design. Large but not intrusive. Hides in plain sight.-air in den smells âcleanâ-negates dog smell-quiet-amount of visible dust on furniture reduced-easy filter access-easy to use app-app has filter life indicator-easy to vacuum outside pre-filterCons-replacement filters are pricey-buttons on air purifier are not illuminated which makes it difficult to see in low light conditions. I use the app mostly to cut on and off so this isnât an issue for me personally.

Great Air Purifier T810
I was waiting for Winix to release a direct competitor to the Levoit 400s, and this is it. It is certainly as aesthetically pleasing in person as it is in the photos. The performance is great and Winix advertises honestly with regard to Air Changes Per Hour (ACH) and Square Footage ratings. The connected app is very modern and works well. Connection and set up was a breeze. At this price point, it is one of the best, if not the best purifier on the market. The entire unit is made of plastic, although it does not feel chintzy. If the unit is on a hard surface (wood/tile/etc.) it may shake slightly on high fan settings. It appears that the AUTO mode works well and the connected app operates very fast with updates and setting changes. Ultimately, I would highly recommend this unit.P.S. I did contact Winix directly to see if they were releasing this model in different colors, and they responded promptly letting me know that this will be the only color variant. Their customer service was good-great.

T810 is great, quiet, modern. Botom opens (too) easily
T810 purifier, bought in November 2023, is great. It’s quiet. Has a nice Android app, which is optional. Buttons on top all easy to understand, good LCD display. All in one filter is easy to replace.Quiet. Until it’s working hard.Ramps up fan when it detects dirty air. Good quality fan, no weird noises.Good price versus competition.Small, and easy on the eyes.Cons: bottom opens too easily. Be gentle when moving it around: Open bottom normally by twisting when upside down, like opening an upside down fruit juice bottle, and remove cylindrical filter. However the bottom requires only a slight twist… Too easy to accidentally open it by pressing and twisting when right side is up. So be aware. Not a problem once you are aware.

Buttons do not light up
I purchased the newer Winix T810 model because I wanted a 360 model and ultimately chose it over the Levoit 400s due to finding this model more attractive looking, and the 400s having had some complaints about fan whining at lower speeds.PROS:Fan noise is very good. The fan noise is barely audible when the unit enters sleep mode. It’s pretty low at the lowest fan speed. The unit does get loud at higher fan speeds, but it’s more like a “whoosh.” It’s early days, but I don’t hear any fan unpleasantness. The unit’s sensor appears to be very good. It notices when a perfume is sprayed (down the hall even) and the readout changes accordingly. The auto mode as a result ramps the fan accordingly and works reasonably well. Sometimes I’ll manually override it to a stronger setting to clean the air faster. It comes in a plain brown box and has cardboard inserts to keep the unit in place. No styrofoam!Once connected, the app itself is ok. It does do per day scheduling which is what initially attracted me to the aforementioned Levoit unit. The app is on par with something like the Lutron app if you have a hub for Caseta lights in terms of polish.CONS:Marketing images are misleading. The buttons, like the arrow buttons to change fan settings or different mode buttons do not light up. I think this makes the unit hard to use because I can’t see the buttons without a light on. It would be nice if there was a sensor that would light up the buttons when my hand comes near the controls. The app is a pain in the rear to initially set up. I can only speak for an iPhone experience, but you do have to enable location settings and have precise location on. If you enable location settings but have precise location off, you do not get any error message as to why the WiFi setup won’t work. You’re left with a vague instruction to, “Return to the app after connecting to WiFi.” The next button simply does not appear.I really wish the controls lit up, but otherwise I’m happy with the sound and performance of the unit.
