I bought this for my wife’s birthday since she had read about them, but thinking it would be more of a “gadget” than a useful addition to the kitchen. But the next day, she got a big roast and was saying it was wonderful to sit in her office area doing some work WITHOUT having to get up every now and then and open up the ovendoor and pull it out to see how it was coming along. The alarm went off, she pulled the roast out, the temperature was dead on, and it was cooked to perfection. Since then she has done two more roasts – a really useful gift with a great price.

Great product
This is probably one of the best thermometers Iâve bought for my daily cooking. Being a home cook you really want to make sure everything cooked and looks presentable but also that everythingâs cooked to a safe temperature, this thermometer with the Bluetooth assisted setting and notifications just makes cooking any temperature specific dish that much easier.

Now that I’ve had it for about 6 months I thought it was time for a review. So far, the case and the probe battery seem to be as advertised, but I would recommend charging the probe before using like the recommend in the instructions. I used it for a boston butt last night and didn’t have any issues. Note that the range decreases when going through walls and such, but with that said it still reaches from my smoker to my kitchen/bedroom. I also really like being able to set the desired temperature and the case will alarm when its reached. It makes it easier to put things on the smoker overnight without having to worry about over cooking before the next morning. Overall, I’ve been very impressed for the price that you pay!
