Very convenient
I have an aquatic turtle tank that requires the periodic introduction of waste-eating bacteria. Normally, I would measure the liquid to add to the tank. With this product, it is convenient to just pop one of the cartridges into the tank’s filter. It works very well in keeping the water clear. The only negative I have is that it was a little difficult to remove the protective seal from each cartridge. This is fine if you have nimble fingers.

There wasn’t any ball, it was just water. The ball melted and the temp was only 78 degrees inside.

Magic?
Not sure how these magic turtle balls work but they really help keep your turtle aquarium much healthier. It has reduced odor and sludge, keeping my turtles happy. Impressed

I love Zilla products, but this messed up my cycled water + frogs got sick + had to start all over.
I mean, how much more do I need to say? My frog tank is cycled, so it’s balanced. I added this and the water got super cloudy and my frogs refused to go in it. I kept filtering and changing it, but after 3 days my older frog bloated and I had to start all over in the tank… plus take him to the vet and they spent 3 weeks on antibiotics. It may work for new, fresh water, but I would not recommend using it if your water is cycled and balanced. Just my opinion though.I don’t blame the product… I’ve learned my lesson though to never mess with the balance.ð

Works okay; Pricey format
The balls make dosing your tank easy, but it’s not something that you can really over do in a turtle tank. They are so nasty, lol.1 pack does my entire tank, and I think it helps. It doesn’t seem as gross between water changes.
