Switch 2 launching July 3rd, 2025 in Malaysia

As of today, the Switch 2 has officially been available in most parts of the world for two weeks. We’ve seen the system is a hit, selling over 3.5 million units in just 4 days, and there’s no doubt that tally has ticked considerably higher. You can expect numbers to climb as the weeks roll on, and that’s thanks to continued interest alongside the launch in a new region.

It’s been confirmed that the Switch 2 is set to launch in Malaysia come July 3rd, 2025. While it’s no doubt a bummer that the system isn’t out in Malaysia yet, at least those in the region looking to snag a system won’t have to wait that much longer.

Next up on the Switch 2 release tour is Singapore and other Southeast Asia territories, as they’re set to see the system arrive on June 26th, 2025. After the Malaysian launch on July 3rd, those in Taiwan will be able to purchase the system July 10th, 2025. There are still other regions where the system hasn’t been released, and we’ll bring you dates for those locations once they’re announced.
