The Hundred Line creator says he’s not sure “anyone will ever make something like this again”

Danganranpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka just released his latest game, and he seems to be incredibly proud of it.

Kodaka has taken to social media to talk about The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- following its launch. The game mixes traditional JRPG mechanics with deep storytelling and over 100 endings, giving players an incredible amount of content to work through. The project’s development was fraught with multiple setbacks, including development hiccups and funding issues, but the end result was the game finally making its way to the public last week.

What’s Kodaka saying about his creation on social media? It’s obvious the dev believes in his title, and he thinks he might have created something unlike anything else out there. As a matter of fact, Kodaka believes The Hundred Line to be so unique that he’s not sure anything else like it will ever surface.

“I’ll say it again – this game is absolutely insane, and I really want everyone to play it. I don’t think anyone will ever make something like this again.

Hundred Line is a pretty edgy game – but that’s exactly what it takes to give players a truly new experience. The feedback has been really positive, and I believe it really resonated with the people it was meant for. Even if it doesn’t sell well, I’m genuinely glad we made it.”
