Quality product, sleek and comfortable, and readable
I chose this Garmin product after having various drug-store generic BP testers, which gave inconsistent results. I figured that Garmin would make this one in the same high-quality manner as everything else they make. I’m glad I did. Starting with the setup, connecting it to my “Connect” app, it just worked, with no fiddling with bluetooth settings, or passwords, or anything. It was up and working in seconds. And the readings are consistent and agree with the doctor’s office.

Iâm loving it so far
Just got it, itâs easy to use and helps you complete a better tracking of your overall health.Itâs small and easy to store away or take with you on trips.Iâll try and update in a couple of months if anything changes.Disclaimer- I donât know if itâs the best product on the market in terms of overall accuracy and connectivity but the fact that it syncs with my Garmin and the rest of my activities is the reason I bought it.

Well Worth it for Garmin Connect users
The Garmin Index Smart BPM is easy to use, integrates with Garmin Connect. I have verified the measurements with measurements taken by my primary care provider. Results were within a couple of points. For those who already use Garmin Connect for health and fitness, the Index Smart BPM is well worth the extra cost

Really Disappointed. Inaccurate and inconsistent
I’ve used several different home BP monitors over the past decade. When my most recent one fell victim to a high impact incident with the floor, I jumped at the chance to replace it with the Garmin Index BPM. The chance to add my BP metrics to the collection of vitals in the Garmin ecosystem along with the expectation of quality and reliability convinced me to overlook the premium price point and a few negative reviews about accuracy..Oh how I was disappointed! The clever design of the angled face is annoying in practice. Rather than allowing the cuff to be wrapped around the body for a compact travel package, the angled face means that the cuff is bunchy and loose. The design of other cuffs Iâve used have a serious advantage for portability. But most troubling by far was the accuracy of the BP readings themselves. Multiple back to back readings with no other changes produced wildly different results. The readings would consistently vary by 25-30 points! Inconsistency was the only thing consistent about this cuff. Yes, I have also used the feature for 3 readings to average and yes, Iâm very familiar with the importance of placement position. Comparing side by side readings at the same time with a different BP cuff, the Garmin BPM was all over the place and even the averages of readings were not in line with the other cuff or manual readings (the old school way). My experience unfortunately echoes that of others reviews that have found the BPM to be consistently inaccurate. After a month of trying to make it work, I have returned the unit. I will not buy another, and I would not recommend to others. I would go even further to recommend several alternatives (all of them cheaper) instead.

Expensive, but it gets the job done
It seems to work okay for taking blood pressure, but the reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that I have had issues syncing the readings with the Garmin Connect app. I would also say wait for this to go on sale, as the base price is a bit excessive.

This on is accurate
I have tried many devices over the years, ranging from wrist monitors to upper arm monitors. Some over inflated and cause you to think your eyeballs are going to pop out. This one is very well behaved and closely agrees with the doctorâs office. It is also repeatable.. The software is easy to use – some are hard to get to sync.I now have two of the units for convenience. As a low. Vision person a brighter display and spoken blood pressures would be a nice touch.

Hassle free.
If you already use Garmin Connect this is a great addition to capture BP. It was easy to get connected with both Bluetooth and wireless While it can be used without Garmin Connect you wont get the historical log.I cant speak to the accuracy but it seems to do its job. Its pretty compact so great for travel or just taking up less room in the cabinet.Batteries seem to last a while 90 days of at least daily readings and they’re still going. For a single user the cuff can jist slip on amd off without needing adjustments every use. Makes it very quick to take a reading (single or 3x averaged).

Think twice before paying top dollar
I have 4 blood pressure devices.Nothing absolutely nothing beats the manual one. That means this one Index BPM, which costs over 150 dollars, is an expensive device that will give wrong readings. Not even mention that it is not rechargeable!!! For 150 bucks!!!The Display is quite low quality and size.I have the one for 60 bucks, the wrist device for 40, and the manual for 25.Even if you change the batteries, make sure you properly use it to get your numbers. My recommendation is to get one, buy brand-new batteries, and check it against the manual one or your nurse one.If the readings are consistently off, it means you properly put it in your arm as the picture and instructions say, go and return it as soon as possible, and get another one until you get the device that actually has no deviation.3 starts because it doesn’t come with a cover. It is severely overpriced, and it doesn’t have the quality and especially the accuracy that you will expect from Garmin.Design 5/5Price. 2/5Quality 4/5Accuracy 3/5Display 2/5Batteries, not rechargeable 1/5Color 5/5Connectivity 5/5This product, based on its design and accuracy, should be around 40 dollars.

Very pleased with this. Links with Garmin connect on my phone and I have the watch and scales. I use myfitnesspal and it links up too. Very pleased with it as it does 3 readings one minute apart and uses that

Doesn’t check for AFIB.Doesn’t sync to Garmin Connect as easily as watches do.Limited functionality compared to brands dedicated to manufacturing BP machines.
